GTA 2025 finds that global safeguards to protect children from online sexual exploitation and abuse are failing to keep pace with the rapidly evolving crisis, and that despite growing international momentum, new legislation, and improved detection and removal of harmful content, technological and societal shifts since the 2023 Global Threat Assessment have only heightened the risks children face online. The report features a Prevention Framework, providing a practical tool and tailored recommendations for civil society organisations, governments, private sector companies, academia and intergovernmental organisations, to safeguard children online.
